You have seen it all.

and crumbled.
The call of the wolf and
the cry of the newborn babe
have traveled to your ears.
You have been the focus
of misty eyed lovers
and voyagers have turned to you
for guidance on the path home.
Your wisdom is eternal.
a composite of the millions of lives
you have touched ,
if in no other way
than through your magestic beauty.
Your faint smiling face is a constant
source
of reassurance.
Through disaster and termoil,
throughout the ages,
you have survived
undefiled.
Calm and cool
your pale luminescence
is a symbol of stregnth
to all who seek it.
