Flashback

I came to know you

When my days were

Filled with shadow.

The fire in my heart

Bound by icy walls

And a noose of gold.

I came to know you

When your world

Had crumbled.

As you were aching

For warmth

To bring you back to life

And fill the empty spaces

She had left behind.

Two hearts weeping

A fragile link bound us.

Like tethers of black lace.

A voice,

So far away,

A different inflection

Coloring my thoughts

Surrounding me with your wishes.

I could feel you

Soft black leather

On my skin

A stranger

No stranger than my deepest

Fantasies.

Your voice lingers

Even now

Only to please

Imaginary desires.

As our separate paths

Render us invisible

To one another.

You moved me

Inspired me to search for more

I could feel you

With me

As I mastered your impulses

All those nights

Longing for your touch

As I do now… upon this page

Where are you

Stephen

My teacher?
